Steinkamp has exhibited nationally and internationally at the Portland Art Museum, Portland Lehmann Maupin, Hong Kong The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston The Exchange, New York San Jose Museum of Art, San Jose Phoenix Art Museum, Phoenix and many more. Steven Durow Heartland. Maryland based artist Steven Durow creates large scale sculptures and installations in his primary medium of cast glass. In 2. 01. 2, the FAC acquired one of his sculptures Dasein on view in the courtyard. Durow disrupts the typical associations of glass by making works that communicate ideas of weightiness and mass, or that feature raw, pitted surfaces that can speak to ideas about entropy and loss. This emerging artist is creating a new series of large scale sculpture, ethereal, introspective works that investigate his alternately idyllic and traumatic childhood and upbringing his family tree.
